Fort McMurray Mommy Baby Study
The objective of this study is to determine the extent of the effect of a brief, online expressive writing intervention on both the resiliency of pregnant, post-partum and pre-conception women victim of the Fort McMurray wildfires in 2016 and the stress and cognitive appraisal resulting from this event on maternal psychopathology, pregnancy outcomes, infant development and mother-infant interactions.
This study also aims for the utilization of an integrated knowledge transfer and exchange network (iKT) which allows to implement potential strategies to predict risk and to guide interventions in communities in case of eventual natural disaster.
