Yannick Marcon, Eng.Epigeny, France
Yannick Marcon has degrees in Physics and Computer Science Engineering. He has a broad scientific culture from geophysics (M.Sc. in Glaciology), microelectronics (several years of R&D in the semiconductor industry) and epidemiology (at Génome Québec (GQ), the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) and the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC)).
M. Marcon has been involved since 2007 in the development of the OBiBa software tools for a number of cohorts including the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (50,000 participants), CARTaGENE (40,000 participants) and the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow Project (300,000 participants). He has also actively participated to the Biobank Standardisation and Harmonisation for Research Excellence in the European Union (BioSHaRE) project (harmonized data of 700,000 participants).
In 2016, M Marcon founded Epigeny, a company that provides services for epidemiological studies and consortia based on open-source software solutions and is now leading the development of the OBiBa software suite.
