Research Unit on Children's Psychosocial Maladjustment
The GRIP is a group of a multidisciplinary inter-university researchers who contribute to the understanding of the development of adjustment problems in children and youth, and to the identification of the most effective means to prevent these problems.
The objectives of the GRIP network are to:
1. Describe the different developmental trajectories of children from the start of kindergarten to their entry into the labor market.
2. Identify the factors that make it possible to identify, from kindergarten, children at risk of developing adjustment difficulties during the school years.
3. Identify the protective factors that allow children to succeed in school and to demonstrate good social adjustment, despite the presence of unfavorable elements in their environment.
4. Contribute to the knowledge necessary to develop programs adapted to the children most at risk.
