- General Information on Follow Up (profile, frequency)
-
After first hospitalization, inpatients (positive and control cases) are followed-up at 7 days post hospitalization. Starting June 2020, inpatients are followed-up at 14 and 30 days post hospitalization. Inpatients are also followed-up at 30, 90, 180, 365, 540 and 730 days post hospitalization discharge.
Outpatients are not followed in the acute phase of COVID (0-14 days), follow-ups begin approximately 30 days following the date of the diagnostic test by PCR tests (or other). They are also followed-up 90, 180, 365, 540 and 730 days post a SARS-CoV-2 positive test result.
Some sites have continued to follow up on their own research funds and these follow-ups are entered into the BQC19 databases.Follow-up dates are approximate and follow-up visits may be done consecutively for pediatric patients (since there were differences in the hospitalizations of the pediatric cases, it is possible that the 5 visits were also consecutive days).
For inpatients and outpatients, starting February 2023, the follow-ups at 365 and 730 days is spread over 5 sites only.
