CHILD Cohort Study COVID-19 Add-On Study
The objectives of this study are to:
1. Provide real-time data on SARS-CoV-2 infection, severity, transmission and immune response in Canadian children and adults participating in the existing CHILD Cohort.
2. Identify biological, health and sociodemographic predictors of SARS-CoV-2 infection susceptibility and severity in the CHILD cohort.
3. Understand the psychosocial, health and equity impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and its management on CHILD families, and identify equity impacts.

Participants were asked to complete biweekly symptom surveys and four quarterly surveys between January 2021 and March 2022. Two phases of in-home self-administered biosample collections occurred in the spring and fall of 2021.
