Longitudinal study on prevalence, incidence and persistence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in health care workers using home blood collection kits and a fully automated ELISA and ECLIA antibody assay
The objectives of this study are:
1. To compare home blood collection kit using a micro-tube or a dried blood spot.
2. To provide rates of previous and new infections with COVID-19 and re-infection rates in health care workers (HCWs). This should help to understand if immunity is durable and provides future resistance to COVID-19 infection.

For the longitudinal participants, follow-up questionnaires were completed at 3, 6, 12 and 18 months following the initial assays; and 30 days after the completion of the vaccination. An identical process was followed for the serological testing 3, 6, 12 and 18 months following the initial assays; and 30 days after the completion of vaccination.

- Clinic patients
- Supplementary Information
-
COVID-19 positive and recovered patients are recruited from Mount Sinai Hospital patient population. Patients are approached to participate, then they are provided with the consent form and information on how to contact the research coordinator for this study. The COVID-19 infected patients participate in this study after they have recovered from the infection and are no longer infected (not hospitalized patients).
